Surrounded by tropical forests and marine parks, Cala Luna is a peaceful setting to soothe the spirit. Consistent with traditional Central American style architecture, Cala Luna was constructed with tropical farm-grown woods. The villas blend marvelously with the abundant silver palms, delicate hibiscus, colorful bougainvillea and other exotic foliage. The resort features twenty-one luxury Villas (each with a private swimming pool) and twenty deluxe rooms.
Located on the Northwestern shoreline of Costa Rica, Tamarindo is a charming fishing town of 1,000 inhabitants. The picturesque region opens a doorway to the romance and serenity of flat lands, green mountains and rich foliage. Because of the unique climate, the region boasts a tremendous diversity of terrain from dense rain forests to airy deciduous forests, towering active volcanoes to lush sugarcane fields, and thick lagoons to unburdened beaches. The natural wonders of this region are so astonishing that, for a moment, you forget the world you have left behind once you have crossed the threshold into nature’s playground.
Cala Luna offers sixteen, two-bedroom villas with AC. Each villa is approximately 1,350 square feet (150 square meters) and can comfortably accommodate four people. For larger parties, the hotel has five three-bedroom Master villas with AC and 1,800 square feet (200 square meters), providing for up to six people. All villas are equipped with fan, a/c, direct line telephone, satellite TV, stereo CD player and fully equipped bathrooms. The kitchens boast amenities such as an espresso machine and a microwave oven. Private parking is also available. As an additional service, Cala Luna provides skilled chefs and bartenders to create spectacular private events from larger exclusive occasions to exquisite intimate candlelight dinners for two.
In addition to our private villas, we offer 20 deluxe hotel rooms.
The tropical hardwood construction blends marvelously with the luxuriant exotic plants in a manner where elegance harmonizes with nature. All the rooms have patio terrace, a/c, fans, fully equipped bathroom with hairdryer, satellite TV, telephone and private safe. The hotel rooms are so close to the beach that you can hear the waves
Cala Luna is a short distance from the brilliant white-sand beaches or mere minutes from the luxurious foliage of the jungles. With a domestic airport 10 minutes from the hotel and an international airport 1 hour away – Liberia Airport (LIR), Tamarindo is easily accessible although still unscathed by modernization. The domestic airport in Tamarindo (TNO), just 10 minutes from Cala Luna, features a paved landing strip amidst picturesque farm fields. An unpaved dirt road prohibits mainstream tourists from this clandestine treasure. However, the one who travels down this undefiled path are richly rewarded.
The Resort is independently owned by a Dutch family. In the creative mind of Jan Schans, he built a jewel in a paradisiac place, where pure nature was the basis and the perfect scenery so man could build a new paradise. It’s elegant Mediterranean – style architecture, modeled after the Traditional Spanish Paradores and quaint European “boutique hotels”, has today made the resort one of a kind. Built in 1995 as a 57 room hotel, has now completed its final phase with 108 rooms and suites. Since opening, Hotel Parador “Boutique Resort” has been a hidden getaway in Costa Rica for many celebrities including Don Johnson, Charlie Sheen, Lorenzo Lamas, Eric Roberts and many more.
The entire Parador experience is limitless. Tropical gardens, boundless pools, expansive views, excellent service and a touch of European living, make for an exquisite stay in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica.
The hotel is unique in its style offering comfort and a beautiful pool with ocean and sunset views. The hotel does not have front beach. There is a small beach in a walking distance (200 meters away), but to return you would have to walk up the hill. The main attraction is the Manuel Antonio National Park and public beach. The hotel offers shuttle transportation back and forth (10 minutes).
